How can I find out how old this is?
It is all metal and the wheels are free to spin around. To me it looks like a police officer because of the hat. Could be mistaken.
The rider and motorcycle are one mold.
What identifying marks would I look for and where? Thanks.

That’s the only way we’ll be able to have an idea of what you’ve got.
Most (not all) of the truly old cast iron toys had rubber wheels. Another thing you can look at is the quality of the casting. A repop will usually not have much detail (look at the face and any numbers or letters cast onto the bike).
You can also check to see what’s available on eBay, alot of times you’ll find exactly what you’ve got (check ended listings to see what things actually sold for)
